Walk reflectively in the footsteps of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop and be challenged in your own life by Mary’s example

To enable families, parish communities and other visitors to celebrate the life of St. Mary MacKillop here in Melbourne, MMHC has a Weekend Open Day on Saturday, 3 August 2019 between 10.00am and 4.00pm.

This is a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn something about the early life of Mary MacKillop in Melbourne prior to 1860.

  • Pray in the Chapel
  • Take a tour of the Museum
  • Visit the Gift Shop
  • Enjoy light refreshments in the peaceful surroundings

A guided Mary MacKillop Walking Tour around East Melbourne & Fitzroy will leave from MMHC at 11.00am. Bookings essential for the walking tour, please contact the reception desk on (03) 9926 9300.

After a tour of the Museum, make your way down to our historic refreshments area and enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee / tea served with a delicious scone with jam and cream. Other cakes and slices are available on the day. If you’re after something savoury why not enjoy a warm bowl of pumpkin or minestrone soup.
